The Reverend Dr. Donna L. McNiel is the Executive Director of the New Mexico Conference of Churches. She was born and raised in New Mexico and is pleased to be back in the Land of Enchantment where Green Chile is plentiful. In 2008 she earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her thesis project, Joining the God Movement: A Congregational Approach to the Missio Dei, encourages congregations to examine the ways in which they engage in mission in order to reach out in mutual relationship that respects the dignity of every person. Dr. McNiel has served communities in West Missouri, Delaware, and Central California as vicar, associate priest, and campus minister. Before returning to New Mexico she was the University Multifaith Chaplain at University of the Pacific. She has been a part of local ecumenical groups and served as an intern at the World Council of Churches in Geneva, Switzerland. Throughout her ministry, Dr. McNiel has sought ways to celebrate and learn from the distinct and diverse ways in which we worship, pray, and serve Christ.
